Sinker: First 250 words of the manuscript.  (If it lands in the middle of a sentence, please include the whole sentence.)

  3. Question, do we put our first 250 in our entry (as in in the comments) or is it just hook and line for the first round?

I'm very excited about this contest.

    1. Hi Rena.

Just the hook and line in a comment for Round One. Check the submission guidelines post to see what you need to include and how to format it.

      Good luck!

  5. The example above has word count and the email formatted differently than the guidelines page. Do you want us to include word count? Should we format the email correctly or replace with (dot) and (at) like on the guidelines page?

  6. I'm looking forward to entering this contest. Thanks for doing this!

  7. Hi Ashley.

We only need the word count for Round Two- which the 5 winners have already advanced to. For today's entry, just follow the guidelines page.

Sorry, I should have done the email with the (dot) and (at) in both, but it doesn't matter to us. It's just a suggestion so you don't get spammers getting your email.

I'm @writeforapples on twitter if you have any other questions. Good luck!
